Ukrainian watchmaker Valerii Danevych creates extraordinary timepieces that, with the exception of a metal spring, are completely made of wood. These awesome watches are beautiful to behold and completely functional.

Valeri comes from a family of wood carvers in Kiev and began to learn the art of wood carving in childhood. Fascinated by clock mechanisms, he began building wooden clocks, wristwatches, and pocket watches in 2005. Made of birch, Valeri's amazing timepieces can store up to 20 hours of reserve power. The level of detail - all those tiny little parts - is truly astonishing.

Calico Archipelago is the final evolution of starter-type Tabbypole. When its middle-evolution, Tidalpole, reaches adulthood, the creature completes its transition into its final form. Greatly increasing in size, the creature now hosts small ecosystems on its back. With tiny trees sprouting upon its islands, Calico Archipelago develops an immunity to plant-based attacks. Calico Archipelago is pictured here with a boat piloted by a particularly miniscule and unfortunate Puug.
